He completed his studies at the <strong>Universit\u00e4t der K\u00fcnste Berlin<\/strong>, earning his Master\u2019s degree in 2013 under the mentorship of Andreas Klein.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Since 2012, Tomer has held the position of bass trombonist with the<\/strong> <strong>Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin<\/strong>.<br \/>\nHe is frequently invited to perform as guest with leading orchestras around the world, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Lucerne Festival Orchestra, Staatskapelle Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Boston Symphony and the San Francisco Symphony.<br \/>\nAs a soloist, he has performed internationally, including recitals and concerts across Europe, Asia, and the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Tomer is a passionate chamber musician and was a member of several acclaimed ensembles such as the Trombone Unit Hannover, with whom he performed until 2020, and the International Trombone Ensemble. He often appears with the brass ensembles of the Berliner Philharmoniker and the Lucerne Festival. Since 2025, he is a member of the Berlin Trombone Quartet, a new ensemble formed with three close colleagues\u2014principal trombonists of leading Berlin orchestras\u2014uniting their unique musical voices in a dynamic and expressive collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the concert stage, Tomer has explored interdisciplinary performance through his collaboration with choreographer Oren Lazovski in the multimedia piece \u201cNO-MAD,\u201d which premiered at Berlin\u2019s Radialsystem in 2016. In his latest creative project, \u201cSliding thru the Opera,\u201d he performs alongside trombonist Lars Karlin and pianist Ohad Ben-Ari, presenting operatic repertoire reimagined for trombone and piano. The program premiered at the Berlin Philharmonie in 2019 and continues to receive enthusiastic acclaim.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to performing, Tomer is a dedicated educator.
