Radek Babor\u00e1k<\/strong> is one of the most prominent personalities of the world music scene.
\nDuring his 40 years of international\u00a0stages as a solo horn player and since 2010 as a conductor, he has gained
\nan exceptional reputation with the most important orchestras and festivals.
\nThanks to his extensive artistic experience, he brings a unique perspective and expertise<\/div>\n
to his conducting style, which is characterized by musicality, precision in staging and deep<\/div>\n
understanding of the pieces he performs. He is able to interpret and convey emotion and nuance
\nto the listeners of the music, creating a captivating and memorable concert experiences that are appreciated
\nby critics and music lovers around the globe.<\/div>\n
His repertoire ranges from the works of the Baroque masters, Classical, Romantic and 20th century to works
\nby living composers whose works he has premiered.<\/div>\n

Radek Babor\u00e1k<\/strong> is the chief conductor of the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra.<\/strong><\/div>\n
in the seasons 2021-2025, from 2026 appointed Honorary Conductor. He is a guest conductor of the<\/div>\n
conductor and musical partner of the Symphony Orchestra Yamagata \u00a0Japan.
\n2023\/2024 he was resident soloist\/conductor of the the music director of the Brandenburg State Orchestra<\/strong> in
\nFrankfurt an der Oder.<\/div>\n
In 2025 he had his debut as conductor of the with the Slovak Philharmonic Bratislava, State Philharmonic<\/div>\n

As a soloist he performed with the Berlin and Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra<\/strong> and
\nmany other top orchestras under conductors such as James Lewine, Sir Simon Rattle,
\nSir John Eliot Gardiner, Sir Roger Norrington, Ji\u0159\u00ed B\u011blohl\u00e1vek, Jakub Hr\u016f\u0161a, Seiji Ozawa,
\nDaniel Barenboim and Vladimir Ashkenazy.<\/div>\n

In 2010 he expanded his musical career to include conducting.<\/div>\n
His mentor was maestro Seiji Ozawa, whom he assistant with the Mito Chamber Orchestra, which regularly<\/div>\n
conducts regularly.
\nHe founded and is the artistic director of the Czech Sinfonietta, which performs at renowned festivals<\/div>\n
in the Czech Republic and Europe such as Prague Spring, Dvo\u0159\u00e1k’s Pra- Smetana’s Litomy\u0161l,
\nFestival \u010cesk\u00fd Krumlov and Mozart Woche Salzburg.<\/div>\n
He has achieved extraordinary success at these festivals, accompanying soloists such as Marta Argerich, Jefim<\/div>\n
Bronfmann, Sergej Nakarjakov, Ricardo Galliano, Ksenia Sidorova and Guy Braunstein, among others.<\/div>\n

For his ensemble he creates unique versions of works by composers such as J. S. Bach and Astor Piazzolla, Jean Sibelius, Johannes Brahms, Ferenc Liszt. He has founded or is active in various chamber ensembles,<\/div>\n
such as the Afflatus Quintet (1st prize at the ARD Wettweberg), Czech Horn Chorus, Pierre Boulez Ensemble,<\/div>\n
Berlin Baroque Soloists, Ozawa Brass Ensemble. He is a permanent member of the\u00a0Lincoln Chamber Music Centre<\/div>\n
in New York.<\/div>\n

He is a winner – laureate of the most prestigious competitions in Geneva, Mark-<\/strong><\/div>\n

As associate professor he taught at the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini in Bologna, Escuela Reina Sophia in Madrid,<\/div>\n

Barenboim-Said Academy in Berlin.<\/div>\n
He runs HornFest Prague, is a mentor of the educational academy MenArt for young music students and music school ensembles.<\/div>\n

During the covid pandemic he initiated collections for independent artists and subsequently supported Ukrainian musicians. Hundreds of colleagues supported these activities. actively supports contemporary living composers and premieres their works either as a solo horn player or conductor.<\/div>\n
