Miguel Victorio Molina

Began his musical studies at the professional music school and conservatory in Cieza, his hometown, under the direction of Jose Antonio Muñoz Osete.
In June 2016 he obtained a higher degree in music specializing in euphonium at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia under the tutelage of the tubist Vicente López with Honors in his Final Degree Recital.
In 2019 he studied a master’s degree in ¨New technologies of current music¨ in the specialty of interpretation at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid under the direction of Manuel Dávila. He has taken various improvement courses with great performers. highlighting David Abellán, Juan José Munera, Josep Burguera, David Childs, Daniel Férriz, Sergio Finca, Steven Mead and Thomas Rüedi.
He has collaborated with the Murcia Region Symphony Orchestra, Madrid Symphony Orchestra, Bilbao Municipal Band, Alicante Municipal Band and Almería Municipal Band. He has been a guest artist at the tubas and euphonium festival held by the Portuguese Association of Tubas and Euphoniums (A.P.T.E.) at the Escuela Superior de Música de Lisboa, a guest at the tubas and euphonium festival held by the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums (AETYB) at the Joaquín Rodrigo Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia and at the Chelva Arts and Nature Festival (Valencia).
He has been awarded first prize in the highest category of the “Ciutat de la Vila Joiosa” euphonium competition in 2015 and 2016. Winner of the Villa de Molina competition in the category of higher education in 2016. Third prize in the international competition held in Valencia by the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums in July 2016 and second prize in the XXIV “Villa de Cox” Musical Interpretation Contest in 2017.
In May 2017 he was awarded the second prize in the Contest Permanent of Musical Youth of Spain. He has performed as a guest soloist with the Alicante Municipal Band at the Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium (ADDA). He has taught various instrumental improvement courses in many professional conservatories, highlighting the Conservatorios Superiores de Música de Granada, Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid, and the euphonium academy “Vicente Costa” in Museros directed by Juanjo Munera. He has also collaborated as part of the jury in the Villa de Molina contest and in the one carried out by the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums.
In July 2017, he entered the Military Music Corps of the Armed Forces on the non-commissioned officer scale and in 2022 he was promoted to instrumentalist officer, being the first euphonium player to be an Officer of the Spanish Army, an activity that he combines with performing of masterclasses and recitals throughout Spain, having performed his project “Spanish Dances”, Spanish music for euphonium and piano by Pablo de Sarasate and Manuel de Falla, in cities such as Valladolid, Beniaján, Capdepera, Alaior or Almuñecar.

-He studied the Intermediate Degree in euphonium and trombone with the highest marks and the “End of Degree” Award for euphonium from the Professional Conservatory of Palma. He continued at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, where he finished two separate Higher Degrees with Honor Awards .

-His euphonium teachers have been Antoni Roig, Miguel Moreno and David Llàcer, in addition to having received classes from international soloists such as Maurice André, Shoichiro Hokazono, Steven Mead, Brian Bowman and Thomas Rüedi.
-He has been principal trombone of the JONC (Young National Orchestra of Catalonia, (1998-2000), and of the JONDE (Young National Orchestra of Spain, 2001-2003).
-He has been soloist euphonium of the Bilbao Municipal Music Band (2001-05), and professor of trombone and euphonium at the Municipal Conservatory of Bilbao and Leioa.
-He has collaborated with the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the “Illa de Mallorca” Chamber Orchestra, the Castilla León Symphony Orchestra and the National Orchestra of Spain. – In chamber music, he has been part of various formations, such as “Euskadi Brass”, Besson Euphonium Tuba Gang” … and performed concerts with the organist Rafael Riera, and pianists such as D. -He has been an associate professor of Tuba (and Euphonium) at the Conservatory of Music of the Balearic Islands (2011-2021), of which he is currently the main visiting professor.
